Kanzcyon: Pronounced “Kanz-see-on”, a blend of the words Kansas and Halcyon. An acoustic music duo comprised of Laurie Michelle and Larry Hucke, both born and raised in Kansas, having separately developed their ability as singer/songerwriters until blending their efforts in 2001 AD. Both share a common love for the topographical beauty of the state of Kansas. They further see in it the elements of tranquility and joy, as reflected in the definition of Halcyon. Embracing Kansas as their home, they have found in it a tremendous resource for their musical creativity. With their broad range of musical styles, Kanzcyon exhibits their respect for the diverse cultures and musical influences of past and present generations.
